Marbella: old town and the seafront

Historic streets, a long seaside promenade and a city that feels lively throughout the year.

A city with many sides

Marbella is more than its beach clubs and summer visitors. Its old town draws people into a network of narrow streets, shaded squares and small shops. A short walk away, the seafront opens onto beaches, cafés and the paseo marítimo.

That mix makes the centre appealing to buyers who want daily life close at hand: an early coffee, a walk by the sea, dinner in town and a home they can use beyond the holiday season.

Life by the water

The promenade is part of everyday Marbella. People walk, run and cycle beside the sea, stopping at beach restaurants along the way. Some addresses feel especially convenient for a car-free stay; others offer more space and privacy a little farther from the centre.

Marbella also has a year-round programme of cultural events and local celebrations. The pace changes with the seasons, so a viewing at different times of day can tell you far more than photographs alone.

Choosing a home

The best part of Marbella depends on how you plan to live. A central apartment may put the beach and restaurants within walking distance. A quieter residential neighbourhood may offer a larger terrace, gardens or easier parking. Think about noise, access, outdoor space and your journey to the places you will use most.
